It can be intimidating to walk into church for the first time...so to ease your mind here's an overview of what you’ll experience the first time you come to Rockharbor Church.
There is plenty of parking in front of Rocky Mountain High School. Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to find parking and make your way to the auditorium.
Signage will help guide you every step of the way. From the parking lot to your seat. Greeters look forward to seeing you!
Kids are a priority! We have safe, fun and age-specific classes for all ages. For the safety of your children, they will need to be checked in at our Kid Check stations.
Grab a coffee or a drink before or after the service! Totally free of charge and another small way of saying, "Thanks for being here."
Services are around 60 minutes. The overall vibe of the service is high-energy, casual, and encouraging. We'll sing some songs together and a communicator will talk for around 30 minutes.
During our services, you'll never be singled out as a visitor. You aren't expected to participate in the offering. You can remain entirely anonymous, if you like.
We are all about Jesus. He is our senior pastor. It is HIS name above ALL names. (Philippians 2:10 )
God's Word is the foundation on which we base what we believe, teach, and live. His Word is to be used to change our lives. (2 Timothy 3:16)
We believe prayer is the catalyst that sustains us for all things. Prayer produces BOLD faith that is driven and led by the Holy Spirit at work in us. We will trust God's work in us and not fear failure.
We want to be known by what we are for. It is our goal to be known by grace and not a critical spirit.
We are real stinkin' people and we will act like it! We will promote authenticity and transparency.
(1 John 1:8-9)
We will demonstrate gratitude for what God has brought to us. We will seek to produce generations that know how to give honor.
(1 Thessalonians 5:18)
We will lead the way in generosity. We desire to be known in our community, both locally and globally, for what we give away.
We will pursue relevance and excellence because we understand the importance of culture. We will change our approach whenever needed, to most effectively communicate God's unchanging truth in an excellent way. (1 Corinthians 9:22-23)
We will be community inside and outside the church. This community will be built through real relationships.
We will not work alone. We are a team. In teamwork we demonstrate a variety of abilities, resulting in creativity and excellence. God is worth all of our passion and best efforts.
(Ecclesiastes 4;9-10, 12)
We will love and lead one another to unite all ages and generations through discipleship.
We will go deep and wide in everything we do. We desire to go deep in God's Word and relationships. We desire to go wide in connecting people with Jesus. This desire is not either/or, it is both.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
2 Timothy 3:16
We believe in one God, existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.
Genesis 1:1, 26
Jesus Christ is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into right relationship wtih God. He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitute for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection.
John 1:1, 14
We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent into the world by the Father and the Son to apply to mankind the saving work of Christ.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.
Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 3:23
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that He rose victoriously from the grave; all those who accept His gift of salvation by faith alone will be saved.
We believe that there is one family of God, comprised of all those who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe that the Scripture teaches His children to gather together in local assemblies, called Churches.
We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
